Gemma Collins reveals she's recorded a single with Naughty Boy after weeks of vocal lessons

Gemma Collins has revealed she’s recorded a single with Beyonce‘s producer Naughty Boy after previously axing her plans to record a Christmas track.

The TOWIE star, 38, has been getting singing lessons whenever she can fit them in, including in her car, ahead of releasing the ‘summer banger’ next year.

She told The Sun: ‘We’ve got an amazing song in the bag and it can come out at any time. It’s written and all finished, which is really exciting.

‘I’ve been having singing lessons whenever I can fit them in. I’ve been doing it in the car. It’s a new skill for me and I’ve been learning.’

Gemma landed a record deal with Universal in August, eight months after she blew the Spice Girls’ Geri Horner away with her performance on BBC’s All Together Now.

The Essex babe and Naughty Boy first hit it off at the Brit Awards in February, when the blonde beauty belted out his Beyoncé collaboration Runnin’ – leading him to proclaim her voice had ‘touched his heart’ in a way few had.

The unlikely pair have since been hanging out with the music mogul labelling Gemma his ‘new favourite singer.’

Sharing a cosy selfie of the pair, he wrote: ‘My new favourite singer the QUEEN of EVERYTHING @gemmacollins1 #higervibration #shepowerful #wegonnahelpher #ibelieveinher.’

He also hinted that they are set to release music together by adding: ‘GC X NB = album soon come #music #real #naughty #2019.’

While it was reported that Gemma hoped to storm the Christmas charts with a festive song, it was reported by The Sun last month that the plans were put on hold until she and Naughty Boy could find enough time in their schedules.

In December 2018 Gemma showed off her singing skills on BBC One’s All Together Now Celebrity Special.

The star impressed the 100 judges as well as viewers at home, with many left gobsmacked by her rendition of Big Spender.

As part of the celebrity line-up, Gemma was tasked with trying to get as many of The 100 – the judging panel hosted by Ginger Spice Geri Horner – up on their feet and singing along.

The Dancing On Ice contestant’s rendition of the Shirley Bassey classic managed to get a whopping score of 88 per cent.

It comes as Gemma spoke candidly about her hopes to move to sunny California.

In November last year, Gemma unveiled her soulful new pop single It’s The GC, written by Tallia Storm, as part of a Christmas campaign for her new fashion collection with Boohoo.

However, while the bubbly blonde was seen standing onstage and bellowing into a microphone in a clip released on social media, she didn’t actually sing a note of the track. Yet Scottish songstress Tallia still branded her ‘the next Mariah Carey’.

‘This might be the craziest thing I’ve ever done,’ Tallia told The Sun of the project at the time, before adding of the glamorous video’s star: ‘She’s the next Mariah Carey. Gemma is a star who lights up a room when she walks in.

‘We always joked about doing something together while we were on Celebs Go Dating… We came up with this idea and Boohoo asked me to write a song completely inspired by how fun Gemma is and all about her female empowerment.

‘She’s everything I want to be. She lives in the moment, she’s fearless and doesn’t care what people think. She’s so comfortable in her own skin.’
