Legendary saxophone player Kenny G is known for creating some of those most romantic tunes in music.

But it seems the smooth musician can be charmed by Hollywood superstar, Hugh Jackman

Speaking on Today Extra, Kenny, whose real name is Kenneth Bruce Gorelick, gushed over a chance meeting with the Australian actor as they practised backstage ahead of a performance on Saturday Night Live (SNL).

Kenny said he was left stunned that Hugh felt the need to tirelessly rehearse his ‘little skit’ before he went on stage.

‘I went up to him and I went: “why are you practising?” and he just went “I just want to be great”.’

The musician said it was an admirable answer and showed the X-Men star’s professional determination.

‘As big of a star that he is – and it was just a little part – but he was still working away at it,’ he said.

‘So every time I see him, I have a lot of respect for that guy.’

Hugh shared some of his infection charm recently when he took to Instagram on Thursday to hold an impromptu Q&A.

After belting out a few classic Christmas carols, the Aussie star was clearly in good spirits as he answered a number of questions from fans.

The actor, who wrapped his world tour in October, said he likes to make bread in a bread-maker saying it makes him feel like a baker.

I have to put the ingredients in myself. When you wake up in the morning the smell is so good and I can feel like I’m a baker,’ he said.
