Fiery TV chef Marco Pierre White is to be immortalised on the big screen as he reveals he has agreed to a potentially lucrative deal for Oscar-winner Russell Crowe to write, direct and star in the film of his life.

'I have just signed the deal,' says Marco. 'Russell has written the script, Russell's company is producing it, Russell is directing it and Russell is playing the third or fourth Marco.

'When they do a movie on your life, you don't just have one Marco — I am nearly 60 years old.'

The Hell's Kitchen presenter, who was the youngest and the first British chef to be awarded three Michelin stars, age 33, adds immodestly: 'If there was anyone in Hollywood to play me, it would have to be Russell.'

The film was first mooted five years ago with Sir Ridley Scott due to direct and Michael Fassbender or Tom Hardy to play the lead.

'I didn't know Russell then,' claims Marco. 'I had never met him because [the idea for the film] all started with Ridley Scott, not with Russell.

'But I thought to myself: "Actually, I think Russell Crowe should be playing me, not Michael Fassbender," ' he adds.

White thought twice before sharing his casting views with Scott at the time, admitting: 'I can't tell [him] how to suck eggs.

'Shortly afterwards, Ridley came on board with Russell, so it was purely coincidental.'

The former bad boy of haute cuisine, who published his autobiography, The Devil In The Kitchen, in 2006, grew up on a Leeds council estate and left at the age of 16 to pursue his culinary dreams.

At 24, he became head chef and joint owner of Harveys, in Wandsworth, London, with kitchen staff that included Gordon Ramsay.

But the father of three, now 58, has turned over a new leaf. He is currently on a pre-Christmas health kick, which includes quitting drinking, and claims it's helped him shed two stone in just over eight weeks.

Says Marco: 'I never liked drink. I only started drinking at 41.'

Boris: Carrie, meet my sister Rachel…

'I've never met Carrie,' Rachel Johnson told Good Morning Britain. 'Not yet.'

Boris Johnson's sister, Rachel, said the day after the election that she had never met Carrie Symonds, the Prime Minister's girlfriend.

'I've never met Carrie,' she told Good Morning Britain. 'Not yet.'

What a difference a General Election victory makes. I can reveal that last Friday night, Rachel, 54, finally encountered Carrie at the Christmas party hosted by media tycoon Evgeny Lebedev, and the pair exchanged kisses and got on famously, according to onlookers.

There have been tensions within the Johnson family after Boris separated from his second wife, Marina Wheeler, in September last year amid claims he had been cheating on her.]

At 31, Carrie is just five years older than Boris's eldest child, daughter Lara Lettice, 26.

Boris's father Stanley and his second wife, Jennifer, are said to be spending Christmas not with Boris, but with Marina and their four children.

Joe’s so good with figures

Joe Wicks's online workouts have helped pop superstar Adele shed the pounds. And The Body Coach's own figures are pretty impressive, too.

I can reveal that his businesses, Joe Wicks Ltd and The Body Coach Online Nutrition Ltd, have amassed £5.53 million in retained earnings — that's almost £1 million up on the previous year.

No pay is reported by either business to Wicks, 33, who owns a house in Richmond, South-West London, which he bought for £2 million in 2012.

He married his model girlfriend, Rosie Jones, in a woodland ceremony this summer. And, at the weekend, she gave birth to their second child, a baby boy. 'He is the best early Christmas present ever,' said Wicks. The couple already have a 17-month-old daughter, Indie.

Off with his head!

Things must be bad at the palace: Prince Andrew has now become the butt of pantomime jokes.

Nigel Havers took a swipe at HRH while playing a bear in Goldilocks And The Three Bears at the London Palladium. Towards the end of the show, Havers removed his costume's head to cool down.

Gesturing to his damp brow, he said: 'If Prince Andrew is in the audience, this is sweat.'

He then added: 'Oh dear, there goes my knighthood.'

Baroness Hale, the first female president of the Supreme Court, whose bejewelled spider brooch became a TV hit, was a party girl during her Cambridge student days.

'There was no bar in college. Can you imagine?' she recalls. 'But I went to lots of parties in town. I did a lot of dancing to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. But we had to be back at college by midnight.'

Daredevil Richard Hammond will celebrate his 50th birthday on Thursday — he hopes.

'There have been a few times that I've had a bloody good go at not making 50, but I'm still here,' says The Grand Tour presenter, who survived a coma-inducing car crash followed by a high-speed prang on a Swiss mountainside.

The 'hamster' has one gripe as the milestone approaches. 'Jeremy [Clarkson] and James [May] are always accusing me of dyeing my hair. Even my mum thinks I do, but I don't! Why would I do that? It is finally going grey, though.'

Sting sings the praises of climate girl Greta

Rock star Sting admitted to his shortcomings when he picked up the Global Citizen Artist of the Year Prize at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

'I was humbled by Greta Thunberg as she addressed the United Nations on the issue of climate change,' he said. 'On behalf of her generation, she rightfully pointed the finger at mine. Whatever we've done, we have not done enough.'

The 68-year-old former pupil of St Cuthbert's High School in Newcastle added: 'I accept this award with the same humility that I would feel as a schoolboy reading my end-of-term report card.

'Invariably, it would say the same thing: "Has worked well, but could do better." '

Fox finds her spirit level

Emilia Fox discovered a kindred spirit while playing Valerie Hobson, wife of disgraced minister John Profumo, in the new BBC1 drama, The Trial Of Christine Keeler.

'I felt like I understood her,' Emilia tells me. 'Valerie was a very successful actress. She chose to retire from acting and lost her identity to become Profumo's wife.'

Emilia, formerly married to actor Jared Harris, has now found happiness with her talent agent boyfriend Luc Chaudhary.

Hobson was not so fortunate. 'She and Profumo were the golden couple, but they were shunned after the scandal,' says Emilia. 'She knew John retained his admiration for beautiful women — and then she lost him a second time to his charity work.'

Russian violinist Yury Revich, 28, is a force to be reckoned with in the musical world. He is to play at a Unicef charity concert tonight at Painters' Hall in London on a golden period Stradivarius. Tickets are £100 a head, which is a snip compared to the value of his violin — £6.67 million.
